About

I have loved weather all my life.  I’ve loved watching the weather, experiencing it, chasing it, documenting it, forecasting it, teaching it, and simply talking about it.  To this day it is difficult for my father and I to get through a phone conversation without discussing the weather and I’m noticing how more and more people have similar experiences.

When you think about, the weather is pretty hard to ignore.  Unless you spend your entire life in a windowless, temperature-controlled building, the weather is going to affect you on a consistent basis.  You plan your life around it, which, I suppose, is the reason we end up spending so much time discussing it.

And what better place to discuss it than here on ye olde internets? Now we can share are stories and experiences with everyone.  It’s like one big porch with an unlimited supply of rocking chairs.

So join in; don’t be shy.  And if you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask.

Cheers,
Steve (B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology)
