Joe D’Aleo of Intellicast and ICECAP, brings this view of the upcoming Winter.  As D’Aleo has done over the years, he looks at a variety of teleconnection indices and oscillations around the globe to predict how the Winter may shake out relative to normal.  In short, he predicts colder than normal temperatures in the east, especially in January.  Precipitation is forecast below normal for much of the country, save the southeast.

Please feel free to read the article, but understand there are several technical terms and phrases used throughout.  Of course, in this day, you can easily Google any term you don’t understand and find a good explanation in about 10 seconds.
