And Just Like That, We Have a Tropical Depression

TD Eight projected path.

TD Eight projected path.

Tropical Depression Eight has formed in the Eastern Atlantic.  This ends the previously-mentioned drought of tropical cyclones and stops the consecutive-day count at 12.  TD Eight is forecast to become a tropical storm (it would be named Grace) for a brief period of time before dissipating in the next 72 hours or so.  I just knew posting about the drought would end it.  For my next trick, I’ll post a lengthy discussion of an upcoming cold snap only to have it never materialize.

Oh, wait…
