You Don’t See This Every September 17

NHC Tropical Weather Outlook valid the morning of Thursday, September 17, 2009

No hurricanes.  No tropical storms.  No tropical depressions.  Not even an area of interest for potential development.  It’s the heart of hurricane season and the Atlantic is very quiet.  Granted, there is an El Nino developing in the Pacific, and that usually leads to fewer storms in the Atlantic, but, still, nothing?  Not even a little wave with some showers? It’s a little strange, right?

(This post now guarantees a hurricane will develop in the next 48 hours as I am king of the jinx.)
