In short, temperatures did end up below normal, but not as cold as originally anticipated in the long-range forecasts. I noted in the first post that I thought temperatures would end up closer to normal than forecasted. In the end, mother nature compromised and presented temperatures about midway between forecasted and climatology.
For now, there’s nothing dramatic in the extended forecasts that I’ve perused. I’m sure there will be plenty to pick from as Fall begins and Winter approaches.
Speaking of Fall, it sure feels like it today in the Great Lakes region. And speaking of Winter… well, we’ll get to that in the next post.
